Porsche Crest Calling All Front End Expets

I have a 79 SC with a vibration in the front end at 70-75 MPH. I feel the vibration in the steering wheel and if I switch lanes or turn at the 70-75 MPH speed the vibration is less, but doesn't go away. I have tried new tires, new wheels, new bearings, but nothing has helped. any ideas!

sounds like tire balance.. balancing guys aren't always perfect. I have better results if they smell $20 before they start.

Ball joints? Shocks? A-arm bushings? Tie rod ends?

I just changed my ball joints, not because I needed to but because I destroyed them while trying to remove my struts for a cartridge replacement. It turns out that while they did not feel loose with the tires on, they were quite worn. I had a significant shimmy at 55 that is now totally gone, and another at 70-75 that is only very slight. Just a thought.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.

RT,

And, of course, you've been having your tires balanced a the same place each time?

Try a roadforce wheel balance first ,it's more expensive but it'll detect any deformities in the rim and tire....
