am having difficulty shifting into 2nd and 4th gears in my 1983 911 SC help !

Do a search on SC 915 shifting issues. There is a TON of info on the site to guide you along...

Probably loose shift coupler or one with worn bushings. Jim

Have you recently played with your shift coupler? If so, it may be out of adjustment. If you don't know what I'm talking about run a search on coupler adjustment; that should get you started.
