Is there a proper or factory organization/layout/arrangement for the tool kit tools?
This is for my new to me 1989 Carrera 3.2 FWIW.
Is there a proper way everything in the tool kit is supposed to be arranged in terms of what tools go in which pockets? Is there a certain way they were assembled/arranged from the factory? Also, is there a list of what is supposed to be in there so that I can make sure I have everything? I'm not even sure what some of those tools are for.... ![]() Last edited by mmm; 12-21-2004 at 08:21 AM.. |

I would put them all in the right hand battery box in the fender well, with the largest and heaviest ones towards the front of the car. This will help maximize the polar moment of inertia.
There should be a diagram in the special Porsche publication Rally and Sports Equipment -- Options and Organization, number 89-666. Look in the "jack and tool kit organization" section - it will be tabbed with the first letter of whatever German word translates into "no problemo."

Just trying to figure out the best way to get them all to fit, figured that the factory already had it figured out. |

Didn't mean to make fun, but I just couldn't resist. I'd just use the early kits as a guide. If it matters, I'd bet that a PCA concours judge could tell you. They prob. deduct points for incorrect arangement.
