I pulled the trigger, got a 3.6 vram

Today I called Steve Timmins and I basically agreed to buy one of his 3.6 Vrams.
It has 32k and he will convert it to a Euro brain with the correct harness.
I also bought the swap kit and the IG Stainless steel exhaust and RS clutch that fits my G50 tranny...

It was a little more than I expected but the engine will arrive ready to be bolt into my Carrera. I can't wait!!!

I will have a 3.2 to sell for anybody that is interested.
The engine will arrive in the next 3-4 weeks... then mine will come out.

Also I want to convert to widebody... Anyone knows of used 930 front fenders?

Thanks again... I'll keep you posted about the progress

Hell of a great choice -- all the way around !!!!!!

BTW, you might want to snag a set of fiberglass 930 fenders from Rennspeed. Subtracts 25 lbs too -

I am on the fence for the fiberglass... I am going to order a 934 front bumper from TRE Motorsports. I think they are the only ones that offer one that fits the 930 flares (9'), whilst the ones at GT Racing and Rennsport require you to go 11'. So I will also check with TRE for 930 fenders. The alternative is to get steel flares from our host and weld them (this is what I am doing with the rear quarters).

Timz
no problem, I will keep you posted. Eurowerks is going to do the installation. The nice thing about Timmins is that the engine will be really ready to bolt on, with the exhaust already mounted, cluttch and flywheel and metal sheet there as well.
I dont have any expertise and not too much time, so doing it on my own was out of the question. Going with Timmins I hope to minimize the headaches when putting the engine in.

911teo - wouldn't mind seeing it myself. Don't have the funds right now but it is something I have been wanting to do so I would like to check it out.

Congratulations! I know you've spent awhile researching all of your options. Wise decision given your budget.

Show us pics during the install process!

Sounds great! If I can pry, what is the ballpark price for a bolt-in engine setup?
