Fellow Porsche owner in D E S P E R A T E need of help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was shocked to read this on Rennlist:
http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=178679 "My Assistant Christi has a desperate family crisis, her StepFather went fishing last night and got stuck down by their pond. His truck caught on fire as he revved it trying to get it unstuck. It was 8pm and getting dark and he set out to walk back to the house. His wife saw the fire and went down to find out what was burning, could not find her husband anywhere. She went and got her neighbor and friends and they searched to no avail. The State Troopers, Blood Hounds and volunteers searched all day on 4 wheelers and horseback but could not find him. Last night it was warm and misty, rained all day today and now is turning bitter cold so Our window to find him is closing. The Troopers stopped at dark and will try again at first light. They dragged the pond and he was not in the truck so all we can do is continue to try. The land is @ 150 acres and is located near HICO Texas. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.ad...ate=tx&zipcode= Christi can be reached at 469 441 5033 or 254 796 4463 If You know anyone in the area who can help, hunters, fishermen, trackers, police, hikers adventure riders etc....please let them know ASAP. Please post this as rapidly as You can anywhere You think would help. Thank You and God Bless, we need Your help, prayers and a miracle at this point... __________________ Thanks, Glen" The gentleman in question has Parkinsons. This breaks my heart and am just doing what I can to spread the word. If any of you are local please consider lending a hand.

Wow! Bummer, as I read I kept looking for the punchline and then realized that there wasn't one.
That's really unfortunate.

What I don't get in today's day and age is the old "search stopped for the night, to start again at first light". With the technology we have today, if this guy's out there, a helo with a FLIR could pick him out, day or night... There has to be a PD somewhere nearby with the equipment.
We don't have a helo, but we've got a handheld FLIR. We've found many a body hiding in the brush and fields... Sad. Hope things work out.
