Voltage Regulator Help Please

On my recently acquired 70t, the red alternator lights stays on and the voltage at the battery reads 12.5v regardless of the revs. I have swapped out the alternator for one that I am pretty sure was working before that motor was stripped and the same thing happens. Am I looking at a faulty voltage regulator?
Does anyone have a photo they could post of the connector that plugs into the regulator? The regulator in the car is an aftermarket made in Australia one and I am not sure if the plug was changed to suit this regulator.

Cool

I think a trip to a local electrical shop is in order for you.

If the output is 12.5, I think you may have a bad diode somewhere. The output needs to be above 13 for charging.

good luck

I dont have a rego on the car and therefore am stuck with it in the garage at the moment. I have a solid state bosch regulator lying around here. Can I connect it up if only for a few minutes to see if there is any change in my system voltage to determine if the current regulator is no good? The alternator is a Marchal.
