Cad data on weber manifold?

Anyone got a 3d cad model of a weber manifold? I'd really hate to have to pull the CIS off my motor right now to just take measurements for my boxster/megasquirt conversion.

boxster/megasquirt thread

Thanks

I'm looking for the intake port layout, figured an intake would be the easiest place to get those dimensions. I can model it if I had one in my hand. Using Solidworks here.

I have some OE Zenith manifolds ... just haven't gotten around to modeling them yet.

If you think the OE Weber manifold is different, feel free to send it ... I wouldn't think it's different though unless it's the taller version.

Solidworks here too.

I can maybe get to modeling one later this week/end ... how quickly do you need it?

I have the CIS injector/angle relative to the port flange holes in a wood block at home ... just need to model it if that is all you're after.

The CIS is off of my donor engine too ... I can also get you the port spacing.

Cool, we can share cad info easy.

I just really need the port layout on the engine mating to the bottom of the manifold. Figure I'll take that model, then model the spacing of the boxster intake, then join the two models, see how small I can make the adaptor plate. The injector spacing is all in place on the boxster intake. I'm not in a huge hurry, take your time. I can start modeling the boxster parts I have now, makes a good lunch time at the office project.

Longer Manifolds

Has anyone used the larger manifolds? I was wondering what the gain is vs the stock...

Anybody got a good idea of what cnc time goes for these days, might be worth my while to have someone else cut a pair of these adaptors out vs me spend all weekend on a bridgeport at a buddys place.

John, is that all you want to make? How thick are the plates? I've been playing around with solid works for about 4 years now. I have '01 at the moment, trying to get my hands on '04 as I type.
I also work closely with a local machine shop, so depending how thick those need to be and how many you want, it might be affortable.
Heres a few pics of the parts i've made recently.

Looking good Don,

Running 04 right now, should have 05 at the office in a few weeks. Company is switching from ProE (bleck).

Still have to get my hands on a carb manifold to design the other side, then I'll be ready to go out for quotes.

I'm slowly chiping away at modeling an engine longblock - overall dims for packaging.
I've just started a new job so I'm trying to find the time ...

935, what do you mean by "overall dims for packaging"?

I'm not modeling every tiny detail of the engine - just where critical systems (like intake and exhaust) bolt up. The rest of the engine just represents the used up space ... I'm using it to package the drivetrain in a CAD model of my chassis and I can work on developing the details of my induction system around it.

This is an early version, but it's kinda like this ...

Lots more work to be done. Anyone wanna kid-sit so I can find the time?

Ooo, kid siting huh? That'll run ya $50/hr... Or, if you need any help, i'd be more than willing to do some SW parts for you for... humm, whats fare? how about... a hlaf litre of fine german beer (Spaten?) if we ever cross paths?

I think i've aquired SW '04, but by tomorrow i'll know.

I have access to some heads still attached to the rocker housing... They're probably from a late 2.0... would that work for demensions? I can send them to you in a DXF layout or a SLDPRT file.

EDIT, i will have some weber manifolds tomorrow night.

That would be perfect! dxf or sld files would work. I could use either.
