It's not a tough job. The hardest part for me was getting the headlight switch out. It's held in place with a retaining nut. The nut is supposed to be removable with circlip pliers. Well, mine would not come out. Fortunately, it was plastic or nylon, so my Dremel tool made quick work of it. John Walker sent me a replacement. (He's da man!!) Once the headlight switch is out, it's easy to swap the wires. They're color coded, so just go slow and do them one at a time.

Also, I can't emphasize enough the importance of adding the Sucro relay kit. It's about $25 and comes with great instructions. Given the historical problems with the stalk switch frying, it's a no-brainer to spend the money on the relay kit and install it.

Let us know how you make out. Good luck.

Once that's down, then it's just a matter or swapping the wires one at a time. No need for diagrams, etc. because you do the wires one at a time. There aren't that many wires involved.

I also did get and install the Sucro kit - I have to agree, it is also no-brainer.

$25 shipped, easily installed (much easier than I thought it would be), no holes need to be drilled, no wires need to be cut, hidden from view, and it is completely reversible if desired.
ok then....THANKS as this will be my next project.

best source for the light/lever assembly? Pelican I bet.

That's ALWAYS the place to start. And, if you find the part cheaper, ask Pelican to price match. Often they will.
