Is the 12 Point Flywheel Removal Tool a specific Porsche Part or...
Can I buy one of these at Sears or something?
Thanks, Ian |

I tried to order one from pelican last year but they were back ordered. I went to kragen auto parts and found a set of three (8mm, 10mm 12mm) for around $15.
So to answer your question, it's not a Porsche tool, they are common triple square key wrenches. |

If you need an 8mm tripple square, I have a HAZET that is NOS, never used. I'll make you a SMOKIN deal on it.

I think the flywheel triple square (aka "XZN") is 10mm. The cheap ones seemed to be softer than the German ones (Hazet/Stahwille/Heyco) but if you only need to use them a couple of times the cheapies are cheap enough that you can toss them without feeling too bad.

Well, when i needed one I checked every dang auto parts store in town and found nothing. I can tell you one thing though, don't use anything BUT the proper tool! Tried that, screwed stuff up, bought the proper tool in the end anyway.
