Rear Tire wear?
My tires are worn out on the insides is there a way to adjust so the tires are more flat. I guess some one adjusted it this way so it will corner better but the tires are still good on the out side I have some wear bars showing now on the tires. What happens when the rubbers around the torsion bars are worn out. Does this cause the tires too wear on the inside?

Tires wearing on the inside like you mention is due to excessive camber for the way you're using the car.
Most likely an alignment will solve the problem. I wouldn't suspect the bushings (as a result of the negative camber). They shouldn't be a factor. Mike

So an alinement well bring this back tooo normal what is the normal chamber setting?

If you drive on the street, probably -.5 to -1.0 negative camber and 1/16 toe.....

Toe in can be measured by measuring the distance between the front edge of the rear wheels and the rear edge. Either way, you'll have to get an alignment done to fix the problem. You probably have excess camber, but you may also have too much toe. Your two options are to get an alignment or start driving much more aggressively which will help the tires wear much faster, but also more evenly if the problem is only due to camber. The only fix for excessive toe is to get an alignment.

If you are thinking about saving those tires or trying to get a bit more wear out of them, you will probably have to remove the tire from the wheel and switch them Left to Right, putting the unworn tread on the inside of the wheel.

I used to do it once a season when I was using my street tires for DE events. It sure kept the wear even. Finally bought a second set of wheels and track tires.

I don't think it's recommended, but it's not uncommon.
You could always join a drift team. that would probably fix those tires. ![]() ![]()
