i can't remember the exact date, but it's the last week of july this year. if someone has a copy of the SPEIL, please post the date. it's in the calender on the inside front cover. i don't have one here at home. the www.pnwr.org site still hasn't posted it. i better get on them. i guess dane isn't doing one in issaquah this year, just a show, as far as i know, so the turnout should be good for the swapmeet starved.

More kudos for Steve. A while ago, I was on the verge of getting a 964, and based on the posts that Steve replied to, I realized what a great guy he is. He took the time to speak to me and sort out some potential issues on the car. Too bad I did not get the car, otherwise, Steve would have gotten most, if not all, of my Porshce related business.
Just got done driving a 88 930 Cab and the itch to get a 911 is back.

Steve was very helpful advising me on my upcoming suspension work. He took lots of time to answer all of my questions with good humor and of course deep experience. He is a major asset to our community.

I always knew that Steve was one of the really brainy and creative guys in the Porsche scene, but I was very pleasantly surprised by how friendly and helpful he is to absolutely anyone who crosses his path. A true mensch, as the saying goes.
![]() The cool thing about any specialised hobby, like ours, is that it's a small world and the cream usually rises to the top. Guys like Weiner, Dave Bouzaglou of TRE, Chuck Moreland, and several others get the good name that they deserve around the scene. I have to admit that there are a few of the other kind of guys that I cannot figure out how they are still around, but that's a whole different thread. Steve is the best.

Steve recently did the heads for my SC and the price was reasonable, completion was ahead of schedule and work was (of course) done well. I would definitely recommend him. You don't mind so much spending money when it's with someone like him!

Just an FYI, someone on the boards early this year was confusing people. Steve Weiner is Steve@Rennsport, not SteveW - the guy who makes the chips...

Thanks Wayne, for the clarification,.....
![]() SteveW does indeed make EXCELLENT chips and I'd simply mention that we've been doing a lot of custom chips for 993's for years and now flash programming for all 996's, Boxsters, Twin-Turbo's, GT-2's, and GT-3's. Even Cayenne Turbos'.
