Idiot Questions (Carrera3), second round...
What are the essentail differences between the 3.0L Carrera engine and the 3.0 930 engine, besides the obvious (turbocharger, boost control, etc.)? Same displacement, same CR? Same exhaust valves? Same fuel distributors? No?

There have been a number of threads on this topic recently including this one:
"Dyno Results are In!!" and "Difference between Carrera 3.0 and SC" Search on these (or just Carrera 3.0) and you'll find them. Great cars those C3's!

turbo has sodium cooled exhaust valve C3 does not
turbo has 240mm clutch, C3 has 225 turbo has twin fuel pumps, C3 single turbo has 32/36 ports C3 39/35 turbo cams IO 3° ATDC IC 37° ABDC EO 29° BBDC EC 3° BTDC C3 cams IO 1° BTDC IC 53° ABDC EO 43° BBDC EC 3° ATDC Turbo used the breakerless ignition w/ cc rotating distributor, C3 used points type w/ opposite rotation
