Souk, Per Paul Frere,935 distributors had no centrifugal advance mechanism ... where you dialed the dist. body to, and tightened the nut -- that's it!!! Although I have no experience with 935s -- so don't take this as Gospel ... it would be very easy to build a variable delay stage either ahead of, or after the Schmitt Trigger of the 6-pin CDI unit. All it could do would delay the spark for a retard effect, so the distributor body adjustment would have to be dialed-in and bolted down with slightly more advance than normally needed ... and then the dial on the CDI box could be used to set and mark known advance settings. Makes a lot of sense when you think how hard on the skin of the hands it must have been to loosen and tighten the hold-down nut for the dual-plug distributor of a 935 engine! Asbestos octopus or gloves would have been handy ... just like in the days of the 550 Spyder!

This is a Rev Limiter on a Bosch Motorsport CD box. They moved a bit in use in 935's and were a bit finicky. Best regards | ||
