Now I'm interested - how much would that cost & weigh?
And... do you think it would be strong enough to protect from rocks?

Thom,
The heater ducts are looking great. I'm prepared to buy when you are ready to sell. I've got my paypal trigger finger ready. Thanks for your efforts and updates! I think a carbon / kevlar would look pretty trick. Look forward to pricing information on FG or carbon versions. Doug |

![]() Carbon-Kevlar is ~$45 a yard, straight Kevlar is ~$25 a yard. C-K looks nicer, IMO. Either one with a layer of baltek would be pretty damn tough. By comparison, the mat I use now is $3.20 a yard. I use about 2/3 or so of a yard to make one of these.

THom - it's a street car. I have been known to drive a Pcar on gravel roads tho (there are some of them up here in the sticks... plus some of the best twisty 2-laners can go to gravel for 40 or 50 miles before going back to asphalt).
- What do you think? I don't need a kevlar bullet stopping vest... So would the price approximate the regular price + the $25 or $45? And what is baltek?
