how to replicate a 73 RS steering wheel?
I sem to remember threads about using a 914 wheel which is a smallel diameter and restoring it to match a RS wheel. I don't want to deviate too far from stock appearance but my original 73 wheel seems too large a diameter and rim is too skinny. Just can't fall in love with the momo wheel choices. Any help? Thanks, Daron

Daron,
That steering wheel was from the 914-6GT. It is smaller in diameter and fatter cross-section. A stock early butterfly horn fits. I have one on my ’68 if you want measurements. We sold many here in Denver in the ‘70s. They were available from PAG Racing Dept. It was also used on many (all?) Factory race 911s of the day. Best, Grady

I think GeorgeK on this board from Switzerland may have some ideas.
He's had many vintage steering wheels for sale and has ( on occasion) re-trimmed these wheels with a second leather cover to get the "fat-stock" look..... Wil
