930 Temp Sensor
Does anyone know what the sensor (I think it's a temperature sensor) on the left rear of a 1977 930 is used for? It's situated in the left rear chain case cover and has 2 wires running to it.
Cheers

If it's a big "bell-type" sensor it's oil-pressure sender...if it's only a small threaded senbsor it's oil-temperature sender.
My PET says it's a temperature-sender....part nr. 911 617 117 00

Thanks guys. I'am just going through and removing stuff from the engine wiring loom that I don't need anymore since the engine was converted to EFI. Looks like the wires for this one can go too.
Cheers
