Sammy, is your trim chrome or black? It looked chrome in the first pic you posted?

I was going to go with polished, but thought it would have been to much, plus I like how the black nuts pull the color from the tire, and the trim.

He does, as I recall, have prices for varying finishes since they are correct for the year of the wheel, in my case 1988's. My best guess is that all stock 16" black Fuchs had the same look. Recomend you give him a call for more detail - (530) 534-7903.

Dave,

My wheels are polished on the outer lips and painted with Wurth in the centers. Same as stock EXCEPT for the polished outer lips versus the stock anodized finish on the outer lips.

"lips" may not be the technical term, but it's the "silver" part of the wheel.

I would have polished the spokes too, but on a red car, I like the look of a black center better. If I had a dark car, I would have polished more.

Hope that helps!

-Chris

A pic of the ex, On the cheap, 15 * 8 polished outer lip, sprayed with dupont wheel finish, which has a minor metalflake, looks like factory cast aluminum.

to those who refinished their fuchs by themselves, what process did you use?

I have 5 6x15's, with hearts, 4 have been refinished by a previous owner, by an unkown finisher, and I'd like to match. Flat black, anodized recesses, with lightly polished spokes.

Powdercoated at home in my oven. I tried to make the outer rim chrome but it came out more of a silver. Still looks pretty good, and the best part is almost a year later they still look new, with no chips or dings, and all dirt and brakedust just wipes off with a damp sponge.
