				 | Newbie rotor question
I have a 993 with 17" cups, and my car looks great except for the rust colored area in front of the rotors (could be a spacer?). How does everone handle this? | ||

It's part of your brake rotor and is normal. The cross-drilled section is kept clean by the brake pads. If you have time, you can take each wheel off and paint the rust with Tremclad.

Yes, you can. Loosen the lug nuts, raise the car, take the wheel off, clean the rotor hub with sandpaper, paint with a good rustpaint, (I would use Tremclad Silver Alu) when you put the wheels back on, use the right torque on the lug nuts. Fuchs wheels are 96 ft-lbs. Is thast the same for 17" cup wheels?

Quick interpretation from Canadian to US. Tremclad is the Canadian version of Rustoleum. You should be able get it in a heat resistant version in silver and black.

Those are aftermarket rotors, oems come w/ a gray prime coat in that area, you can replicate it easily, I liked to use Wurth Rust Guard, it brushes on drys smooth and is available in black or silver. Heat won' bother it either
