Big Problem, Need help!!!

Hey all,

I have all of my body work complete and final sanding has been done. I am ready for base and clear but there is one major hang up! MY PAINTER BACKED OUT ON ME TODAY! He says he is just too busy to get it done anytime soon.

I need to know if any of you know a painter in Portland Oregon that might want to make some quick $$$ to paint my car. No body work or masking. It will all be ready for him to simply shoot the base and the clear and shove it out the door.

PLEASE HELP ME???? I NEED A BEER!............C

MAACO.

You could color sand it once they have the paint on to get rid of the orange peels.

I'd aked the painter that backed out for a recommendation. If he's any good at all he'll know at least a couple others that are worth talking to.

Sorry, I disagree here. If this guy screwed you already, he may share a piece of you with his friends too.

I didn't read this that the painter screwed him just he's too backed up to get the job done anytime soon, that doesn't equate to "screwed" unless there's more to the story. If the guy was good enough originally to have been offered the job then he should be good enough to say hey I can't get to it but he's someone else to check with that does good work. If in fact he did screw Chris then I agree move on to a different circle of friends.

I can't suggest a shop, but you might give Win Casey a ring at Motorsports...he'd know somebody, I'm sure. 503-643-2656

Found a new guy and he gets high marks from my paint supplier. They say he does very nice work and he uses nothing but PPG product. At least now I can get some sleep tonight.

My ride goes to paint tues. night this next week!

Do a search on this forum for MAACO paint. Some people had good luck bringing their car to MAACO. It's not a concourse paint job, but then we are not talking about thousand of dollars to paint an old car.

Here a thread

Maaco Paint???

Here's a MAACO Porsche
