Replace Front Brake Hoses

I was removing my front shocks today from a 1984 Carrera and I had to undo th brake hose from the fitting closest to the brake disc. No problem there, but I also want to replace the entire hose since it's orignal to the car. My problem deals with the hose fitting to the hard line on the inside fender. How do you get the hose out of the mount? I disconnected the hard line but couldn't get the hose line out of the mount. I tried to use pilers to hold the right side of the fitting while using a wrench to undo the left side (the 17mm nut side), but it didn't work! I'm doing something wrong here. Please help!

I believe there is a small metal clip that slides into a grove in that fitting. It can be removed with pliers.
See here in red.

Have fun breaking them loose....use flared end wrenches and patience.
