Idle indicator switch
Hi,
New to post but have been reading for a long time..... My question is what does the idle indicator switch do. I have a '75 911 ROW engine. This is the limit type switch that is engaged / disengaged depending on function when the throttle is at idle (switch is basically just left of the throttle body). Also want to make sure I have it connected correctly. 2 yellow wires closer to front of car and 1 yellow wire towards rear. Thanks, |

The switch is for the cold start valve. At idle the switch contacts are open and are closed when the hand throttle is up for cold start enrichment. The yellow wires energize the the cold start valve through the thermo-time switch when the starter is engaged.
