Is there anyway to test an oxygen sensor 3.6
Ok my sc is smokin raw fuel(remember i have no miles on the 3.6, it starts so i beleive that its not flooding until it starts, it will clear up after awhile, car was last started 3 onths ago, would the oxygen sensor being bad cause it to load up, also, is there anyway tyo test it, Kevin

I think the oxygen sensor just fine tunes the air fuel mixture at cruise and idle. If it is blowing black smoke I wouldn't think the OXS is at fault

its actualy a blueish white smoke and smells extremely rich, Kevin

Installing a diagnostic port for your particular 3.6 is a good start.....
Others have posted some good info on this subject....Moses comes to mind.......

Set up a diagnostic pigtail at the connector in the engine compartmant
spec is fluctuationg between 0.1 and 0.9vDC you can induce a lean condition by undoing the oil filler cap.

Check the head temp sensor. It can keep the car rich despite being warmed up when it goes bad. You can check the resistance of it or just install a new one, Pelican has them pretty cheap.
