Eagle Day sells it by the meter. They also carry some of the hard to find connectors.

Does every P.O. on the planet use WOOD SCREWS to reattach signal light housings?

I think I have you all beat. My PO has rendered all my projects to a complete stand still and no longer responds to my emails. Of course, a lot of the stuff that is killing me are from his "great" mechanic. Here is a short list:

- Whoever installed the aftermarket speakers stripped every hex bolt holding on the door panels, ran ungalvanized screws through the inserts that hold on the door pockets, and put the amp in the trunk...which he did not bolt.

- Door panels completely rotted from moisture...on a garage only kept car.

- A wire wrapped around a dowel is my gas cap release lever.

- The drivers seat hex bolts all stripped from said mechanic working on the ECU.

- The wheel locks from hell that I still cannot get off.

- Aftermarket CD player that "locks' if you pull the negative battery terminal...and he did not give me the security code. This same deck has my favortie CD trapped in it as well.

- I orignally thought the car was a deep charcoal grey. After detailing it for an entire weekend realized it really was a black car.

- He let rust develop on the passenger door jamb. Once again an amazing feat for a garage kept car.

OK, I have to stop. I getting really worked up. But you get the picture. You should see the rats nest of wires around my fuse box. My PO is a POS. I can only imagine what I will find if dig deeper.

About 3 years ago I bought my first 911 at age 18. After my father telling me to save more money or buy a 944 and my friend who is a mechanic telling me it was "aschwitz on wheels" due to the smoke coming into the car I handed over $4200 and bought my first Porsche. The car looked good but that was it! Anyway the PO thought he was a mechanic/welder/wiring expert. The moron thru bolted carrera seats through the floor which was also patched by him with a stop sign...yes a stop sign . He removed the oil pressure sender becaus eit didn;t work, rather than replacing it he just left the big hole in the case empty so oil went everywhere in the engine bay. Bent the top bolt of the starter so you couldn't get a wrench on it and stripped the other nut. Used spray foam to fix the rest of the rust on the floor pan. had door bell lights as blinkers, a random big blue wire that grounded the car apparently because it wouldn't charge if it was disconnected. Pulled all the heating hoses etc. out of the car and left it that way so the lovely black smoke would come through the vents while you were driving. I would show up at school smelling like a bad combo of gas and oil. He Never changed the oil when I finally did it looked like a chocolate milk shake from McDonnell's. This jackass also thought he was a wiring expert and had fun playing with the wiring harnesses. Only half the lights worked and he left them in a tangled mess that looked somewhat like an italian pasta dish. Anyway he was a jackass!! I learned a lot about Porsches and learned to listen to a mechanic if he tells you to not buy a car
