When I bought my SC, the steering wheel was not "straight" when the car was going straight... It was about five degrees off. I asked my shop to move it one spline over last time my car was in -- they did, and then it was five degrees off to the other side. I figured that they were just clumsy and missed the next spline.
Well, I replaced my wheel yesterday with a Momo Monte Carlo. Turns out that I only have a choice of five degrees off to the right or to the left. I don't know much about steering and suspension components, so I'm curious: will my next alignment be able to fix this problem, or does it require taking apart the steering column, shaft, etc.?

Yes, an alignment can correct this. But what caused it should be looked into also.
I'd have the suspension checked out to see if it's all in good shape. Does it run down the road true and straight if you let go of the wheel for a little while ? ( a flat road with no crown ) |

It runs perfectly straight. Doesn't veer at all. Given the right road, I feel that it would go straight forever with no steering input.
