EW,
That is a casting number not a part number. The numbers you need to post are stamped under the transmission. The sequential serial number is possibly in the form; 7135xxxx. There is also a type number in the form; 915/xxx. Please post these numbers and we can get you information. Good for asking. Best, Grady

The casting number is 9153011020R, and the model is 915/06. Serial number 7343928.
I shift the unit into the gear opposite reverse, and for one rotation of both the output flanges, I get just over 3 rotations of the input shaft. Similar for the middle shift position pushed in (I don't have a shifter or remember the shift pattern). At first test, it looks like a 8:31 ring and pinion... Anyone have a better test?

I think that is 5th gear? 4th would be next to reverse. I think a 7:31 and 8:31 would be really close in a test like that. I think it equates to 8 turns of the out put for every 31 turns of the input so it would be a pretty small difference with just 4 or 5 turns. Maybe I am wrong. Seems like a bif diff. when you drive them??

Thanks Grady
I believe the very desirable 74' gear box. Probably out of my reach.

Thanks, Warren! I appreciate that. The guy I bought this trans from told me it was a 7:31 r&p, so if it is, it was replaced. Where do you guys get that information?
