Shouldn't this be posted in a 911 chat forum rather than a tech forum?
Everybody stay tuned...Everyone's on pins and needles!!! Same bat time, same bat channel.
Enough already. Post the weight and move on.

Nine9Six,
Don't post if you don't like it. You think this forum isn't fun, too?

I'll post as soon as I get the results of the corner balance.

This is all in good fun and provides a point of reference. Weight and weight loss is a technical topic, like it or not.

Doug

And for guessing the weight of a 996???? Hmm, Close to the weight of a 72 Dodge Power wagon! Hehehehehe

FINAL WEIGHT IS IN!

According to Jae at Mirage International - THIS CAR WEIGHs 2180 Lbs!!!

CRAIG911 - the first guesser WINS! 2190 - damned that was a good guess!!
then:
SalazarS2K - 2167
then:
Vash - 2195

ALSO RAN: jjwood who guessed 2099 dry. Good argument that with 3 - 4 gallons of oil and six gallons of gas, he's right in there.

Thanks to all who expressed interest. Only negative is I'm out of town for the weekend and won't pick it up until next week TUESDAY!

Thanks a bunch for all of the kind words, as well.
Have a great FOURTH!

I'll be adding a few pounds worth of rear sway, but that shouldn't add too much.

Doug

;-)

I took Dane's car, added weight for the steel 1/2 cage vs. Dane's aluminum rool hoop, plus a bit for the wide wheels & tires -

That sucker's gonna be a rocket!

So.....what's my prize????
