Starting problem SOLVED, solenoid is the culprit

After getting incredibly frustrated with my intermittent starting click, I finally ponied up and bought a replacement solenoid for my starter and got about replacing it.

Removing the starter was the harderst part of the job.. You'll need a 10mm aleen socket and have to reach up and over the transmission to access the top bolt. This took some time as the bolt hadnt been loosened in some time.

After removing the starter, the solenoid came right off and I pried the cover off. Yep, there's the problem. The contacts were almost completely corroded. I cant imagine how any voltrage was getting through.

New solenoid installed and I replaced the hacked up 18GA wires with all new 10GA wires and dielectric grease...

Car turns over every time now.. even at 220 degrees with 105 degree heat...
