Any more opinions on Fabspeed cat bypass and muffler bypass?

Any new thoughts on the Fabspeed combination of muffler bypass and premuffler. If you have not seen it you should check it out. It is in the very least it is interesting and it's cheap. You can't say that very often with these cars. It is on the Fabspeed website , under 911 SC/Carrera exhaust options. They also have a video clip with sound.
Could you drive this setup to the coffee shop on Sunday morning? Does it sound like a car that had its muffler fall off! That is a crappy sound.

My car came with the European Pre-muffler on it already so... for $50 I got the muffler by-pass and man is it loud! My wife says I'm going to jail if I drive it on the street. The good news is I can R&R the OEM muffler in about 15 minutes so I think the set up is track only for me. It doesn't sound cheap though I think it sounds bad a$$!

I ran my car with just the Euro Premuff to the muffler shop. IMO, it would be too loud to run the bypass on the street daily. It DOES sounds like a mufflerless vehicle. I think the CSI cars like ours run better with a little backpressure anyway. I have a FlowPro and I love it. Not too obnoxious at idle but screams on the top end.

James, I have that set up and it sounds awesome. It's not too loud and I have a Cab. Noise is subjective. Check this link to a post of mine. It say's it all. Get it and do it. You won't go to jail and you won't be sorry.
Installed Fabspeed bypass combo

James, where are you located? The sound and loudness may not be so popular with the local police officers. I agree that sound is subjective but I felt that my car sounded like crap with just the premuff. Take your muffler off and see if you like the sound.

That is funny! ...." Take your muffler off and see if you like the sound" I live in the city of Toronto - it is a large city. It sounds like it would be to loud for here. That said, I will probably try it out! The fabspeed premuffler sounds like great product. If there is a better premffler please let me know. I may buy it today....pending funds.

Thanks
James

Me again.
Do you have a Euro 911? If so, save your cash because the factory premuff on the Euro cars is a great piece for a stock unit. Spend the money on a good aftermarket muffler that will give you an agressive sound without pi$$ing off everyone in your vacinity.

It is an American, I wish I had the Euro compression. I love the comments that people have!... "sound without pi$$ing off everyone in your vicinity." I found a a pair of B&B headers that I may buy, if I don't buy this product. I really do like the look of it, it's cheap and looks like fun. When to loud.....take it off.

Did you see the set of B&B headers and mufflers for sale in the Pelican classifieds? THAT would be a great setup for your car. I wish I had the cash to buy it. As far as the loudness of a car goes, I used to have an 11 second street car. 3 inch exhaust with Flowmasters with a HUGE cam.
Would literally shake the pictures off the wall when fired up. That was cool back when I was younger but now, with the 911, I prefer to have a more subdued growl.
