Casting material
Does anyone know of any product you could use to cast small parts originally made from Bakelite? Something with some strength that would take higher temps.
Just wondering...

If it is ok to be conductive metal you could get a simple sand-casting kit used to make jewelry(I think mine was less than $50). The casting grains are very inexpensive.

It does have to be non-conductive. Should have said that.

Does anyone know if fiberglass resin can take any heat. I'm thinking specifically of reproducing Beru connector tubes. I was wondering about tiger hair???

Fiberglass resin, at least the boat stuff I've used, is very brittle. The Devcon stuff is very good, we use it at work. You can use it to make molds and then with a release agent you can make parts in the molds.
