Cool Just installed Bilstein inserts in Boge

Well I have had a set of Bilstein HD inserts sitting in the garage for about 6 months just never had time to get to it. I had done my usual amount of research on what had to be done and today I decided to do it. I can't believe how easy this was. From start to finish it took me just under 2 hours total for both sides. Everything removed easily and went back together just fine. I did the "tilt" method rather than removing the strut housing. My 83SC now has fresh Bilstein Sports in the rear and HD up front. Next will be replacing my 20/18mm sway bars with 22/21mm which will be happening next month. Well I'm off for a spirited jaunt!!

Excellent! I'm sure the car feels much better now.

Have fun with the sway bars. They're a pain in the arse.

Rick,
I'll be shipping the 22mm swaybar next week, just as soon as I receive the funds.

What size torsions are you running front/rear?

It's neat to hear that you're making strides on the suspension upgrades!

Cheers,

My torsion bars are stock for now. I thought I would upgrade shocks and sways first and then torsion bars after I get some seat time. After taking the car for a spin today it really feels much better than the 108,000 mile Boges they replaced. MMastro I was hoping the funds would have been there today but apparently not. That's O.K. as I have time and when I receive the bar I will clean and paint it before installing.

Good job! I'll be doing the same project this fall except that I'm using Boge struts in the front.
