I believe it is their own font. Someone, probably in the last few years, may have 'built' a 24 letter alphabet around it.... good question let us know what you find out.

a search should yield a site to download the font. just make sure it's the right one by examining the "R". the incorrect one is straight vs curved.

Close but no cigar is Microgramma Bold, worth checking out anyway.

I always thought it was Microgramma Bold Extended. It looks like a compressed version of the PORSCHE crest type. This was done to fit accross the entire car. Microgramma is very close unless you want to make your own type.

Some years ago I tried to use Microgramma for the banner of our PCA local chapter newsletter since it was close to, but not exactly, the same as the factory typestyle. I was told by the editor that some "representative" of PCNA was threatening everything from a lawsuit to shutting down our chapter if we used it.
Gotta love the design business! Everybody's a f******g expert!

I have one called "porsha" that I gleened off of here or some other online site. Do a search. Looks good to me. I used it to design my company name on jackets and hats.

Here's what's probably a silly question -- once the font is downloaded, into which directory should I load it?

place the file into your WINDOWS/FONTS directory. It will then be available from the font pulldown menu in any program that uses fonts.
