Trying to get approx value of my car
Looks like due to circumstances, I am going to sell my 84 911 Targa / Converted to a cab. The conversion was done per Porsche's factory manual (and widebody911) with the only thing needed to finish is the cab engine mount installation, which is coming soon....
The car has 188k miles, every receipt since the day it was born including the original sticker & all owners manuals. I have done a ton of work as I never thought I would be selling it..... Here is a list of most of it: New Yokohama ES100 tires all around Factory spec conversion from targa to cab New 993 style dark blue top 1997 Boxster seats 1996 993 door panels and optional integrated speaker system in black Leather Tonneau cover Repaired AC (relays, thermo switch, receiver/dryer) and upgraded to 134a with 3 condensors (blows cold) New Trunk carpet upgrade Steve Wong chip Magnacore performance ignition wires Harmon Kardon Traffic Pro GPS CD/stereo C2 front & rear bumper update, painted to match factory alarm system & aftermarket keyless remote entry using Porsche central locking system White metal gauge faces Heater backdate 930S steering wheel with crest (not shown in photo) Various other break/fix items such new power window switch, etc. I have a receipts for over $8000 in parts (I know....nuts...) This car doesn't smoke or drip oil, runs great & pulls strong. Clutch is strong and was last replaced at 85000 miles. The tranny is good with only a slight bump going into 3rd if you shift really fast...normal shifting is very good....Everything works, even the clock keeps perfect time.... The interior only needs carpet to be perfect. The paint is good overall, is original and has the typical hood small rock chips & door chips. No door dings.....The paint on the C2 bumpers is factory fresh..... And please, no trying to convince me to keep it....It has been very hard to make this decision and I am sticking to it..... I realize price is subjective and can vary from sections of the county. I just want to know if asking $15k is realistic.... Thanks Chris ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More photos at http://photos.yahoo.com/chgrec under the 911 album

Cant help you with a price Chris, only my opinion. When I was looking recently, I would have paid $15k for your car. It seems well sorted and with alot of the upgrades we all like to do.
What are other cabs in your area going for ? and Targas ? split the price difference perhaps ?

Nice car...Targa to Cab conversions are nice for the right person but, consider a G-50 cab for around $18-$26 depending on state ...a SC cab for $14 - $18k again depending on state...
You seem to have nice upgrades, but you don't mention if the engine has been worked on at all in 188k period...at least you have history for the car..

Thanks everyone, the engine case has never been open but it has always had its prescribed maint. The cabs seem to be going for 20k ish with original targas getting 15...ijust figured that since it isn't all original that it might be worth less....
I feel pretty comfrtable with my 15 then...I will post it here before I put it on ebay... Thanks again.... Chris
