PHX Engine drop. What more could a guy ask for?

Alright, don't answer that.

Well, things went great. Joe showed up and promptly said "Don't tell me that isn't the only jack you have." I said "Ok, I won't." being the only jack I had. Then he said "Don't tell me that's the only jack stands you have." Get the point? It went somewhat downhill from there.

However, we had a great fun and the engine came out with, what I would assume, the usual coercing.

Pics for the masses.
Quiet before the storm.

Joe makin' waves!!

Almost there...

Done deal! Check me out!

Nice job, especially with that puny jack. Definitely makes for a two or three man job. Now that it's out, what next?

When it goes back in it will be with my tranny jack and a real shop jack. Problem with the jack stands was that they did not go high enough to really get the engine out, so we had to make do using wood blocks...

Will show you how to do it right when we stuff it back in ! Thanks for the food and drinks!

Don, I had a great time yesterday. The home brew was VERY tastey.

Joe was THE man yesterday. Came with his own tool set and without hesitation Jumped in and started preping the engine for drop. He knew his $hit.

Lee, thanks for the helmet and drag race.

Jeff, et al

Uh, this is weird but I'll take it....Hangin' out in the garage the next day and getting the car more prepared for the shop my lovely wife pops off with "So, why not go ahead with a 3.0 transplant now?"
.
.
.
.
.
.my jaw drops
.
.
.
.
"What?"
.
.
She says "Do I need to repeat it?"
.
.
.
"NO! Flippin' SWEET!"

So, it would appear I'm in the market for a swap.
How you like me now??

Does she have a sister??? Get on with it man! Do it now before she says anything different! Remember when I pulled her aside and told her that if she got new drapes that you got a new engine? Maybe it planted the seed...

PS Yes the home-made beer was excellent! Have your FIL make more for when we put something back in the big hole.
