If I'm just putting new strut insets in, is it necessary to have the front end alligned afterwards?

no, as long as you're not disconnecting at tie rod or control arm.

Whoa.....
mechanically the struts won't change the alignment, but they might change the ride height, which in turn affects the toe in. If i were you (and you're glad I'm not) I'd at least take a tape measure reading of the fenders before and after. If the new inserts change the ride height very much you will prolly have to have the alignment checked. It all depends on how bad the old struts were. When I replaced my fronts with bilstein HDs, the front came up about 3/8" Later I replaced my rears with bilstein sports, it raised the car almost an inch! Obviously the old shocks were completely blown and and had almost no gas charge left in them. |

Sammy, This is true.
But if it does raise the car, could he not then lower the front to where it was before then the setting will be the same... Correct???

that's what I thought, a few cranks of the 11mm in the front, and your back in business.
