You can get your's converted instead of replacing.

I just got mine back from North Hollywood. I had a voltmeter installed instead of the oil level gauge.

I paid 370 to have the speedo rebuilt, the voltmeter added, and I got a numbered (backdated) oil temp gauge with sender.

Just out of curiousity, why would you change them? VDO is a widely respected, high quality brand, you can have the ones in your car rescreened to just about anything you want or even just go with the white faces if that's your thing (yuck).

Just curious.

I've seen some in various pics on the board over the years, usually in track cars or heavily modified cars so there are some out there.

I have a 73 porsche that is all updated and the cable drive speedo looks like car! I have an 1986 electric speedo in the car that doesnt work but looks nice it is a 6 digit i cant stand my original 5 digit. I dont know if they can make the 86 electric speedo into a mechanical?
