Correct, Randy.

Thats why a lot of my baby patients have a hard time breathing when they are hit by the R (enn) S (port) virus.

Obviously my euro car does not need neither a cat, nor an oxygen sensor.

All this emanated from me contemplating SSI. Donīt know if it will improve power output that much on my 3.2 though.

there are good data out there re the SSI on a 3.2L motor... not sure but IIRC it doesn't help much unless you get a different chip -- then there is the hp/$ factor too

Search and I'm sure it will pop up... or maybe someone that knows will post the threads

This still is not stated clearly here.... although some have touched upon it breifly.

Yes...USA and certain other cars used a cat, and O2 sensor for emissions.

Yes..."most" ROW or euro cars had no cat and no O2 sensor. DME did not process a closed loop signal for these cars.

But...some Euro and/or ROW cars were delivered with cats ( hence with O2 sensor) to allow running with unleaded fuel which gave some owners a tax break. These were close to USA in how the DME functioned.

So.....can't say all ROW cars didn't use or need O2 sensor .

Tech/spec books will identify which Euro type you have by the engine "type" number 930/XX.

Thanks, I will take a look in the original manual and compare with engine no.

BTW, after extensive reading of previous threads I have decided against SSI and I am currently very interested in a SW chip instead.
