Door handle trigger kaput?

Hi,

Unlocked and pulled on the driver door trigger and "click" it pulls back with no tension and door does not open. When released, it springs part way back. I can push it back, but it only clicks and has no tension while trying to open door. I can open the car from the inside. Did something break?

Thanks!

Dave

Dave,
Best way to find out is to take the door handle off. It's pretty easy to do from the inside of the door. Plus, it's not really connected to anything inside, so once you get the nuts off from the inside, it just lifts out. Taking it apart if easy. If you need replacement stuff, just try to get a used on off of Ebay.

Marv,

I remember taking them off once before to clean up old wax... Had been a log weekend and did not want to tear into door panels. I have to take care of window height anyway, so the door handle will have to wait until this coming weekend when I have time for time for it all.

Thanks!

Dave
