Cool Roll Call Show US your RSR's

Hey Guys,
If you have a RSR or Clone show it to us .
This thread is to see how many are out there. Or being built.
Look at as a kinda registry of them.
Who has them and were they are.
What power plants specs and stuff like that.
I don't think any one knows how many their are around.
I think it would be interesting to see if we can find out.
Or maybe get an idea of how many anyway.

I have a few questions about the flares....where do you guys get your steel RSR flares? Are they really just turbo flares or are they as wide as teh vented ones? I want to add to my car, but I am not sure what size i want.... I definitely want steel vs fiberglass.

Sorry for the attemped hijack. If anyone wants to clue me in please feel free to PM me!

The steel ones that we used on our RSR are:

Rears from Restoration design - correct for the year are the early Turbo flares (for the small torsion bar holes).

Fronts are 74-89 front add on flares to original 69 fenders and then the extensions for the early flares were custom made. You can see in these two photos. (the extension is in bare metal)

The wide RSR flares (vented) I have never seen in metal as an after market add on... sorry

We did the same thing Slider79SC did on the C4RSR project.
I haven't seen a real set of RSR flares in a coons age.
If you do find a set they will probably cost you a arm and a leg.
I don't know of any one that makes real RSR shaped steel flares.
Maybe TRE Cup dose.
The 3.0L RSRs were all fiberglass.

Oh well, I'll play...

Based on an '88 Carrera... 3.6 Vram yada yada

Rear flares are Turbo early style (round complete t-bar hole, as opposed to the late style bigger half moon hole).

Front are 930 fenders. Rockers delete involved welding some small holes...

I have never seen the 74-on RSR flares with vents (13' wide) in steel. You can find the fiberglass replica at GT-racing.

The car is not it top form now (close encounter with a sidewalk and post)....

But I am working on making it better...

On the white car pictured above in our post (black side stripe) we started with a 76 turbo, then took another set of steel turbo flares, added our metal genius, and with a 13" RSR rear bumper got the results you see here. The front are standard turbo. RSR's NEVER came with steel flares- they are fiberglass laid over steel front fenders and rear flares over steel base quarters
