911 3.2 doesn't quickly drift in neutral

I was wondering if it's normal for my '86 911 3.2 to not drift away when it's in neutral on a slight grade. I'm not saying she'll hold on a 20 degree incline, but it doesn't seem to just run away like most other cars. Is this normal or do I have a wheel bearing / parking brake issue?

The easiest thing to do is to raise each side (or end) of the car and spin the wheels to measure drag.

You might have:

1) Swollen, internally obstructed rubber brake lines

2) Dragging or bad wheel bearings

3) Dragging E-brake

4) Underinflated tires

Welcome to the forum!

Steve´s list is comprehensive. Could possibly add brake pads not fully released by the piston, but that probably far fetched.

Would be useful with a bit more info. Did this symptom surface yesterday promptly or been getting worse since a long time? Did you recently do any maintenance / upgrading in that area ? Car running great or other problems too ? New tires - old ?

Oh, and pics is mandatory !

It definitely is not normal.

Car runs great. Bought it a month ago, this has been an issue the whole time. The reason I doubt the brakes are a cause is that I smell nothing and the parking brake seems to work perfectly. The car is in flawless shape. I suppose it could be brake lines, but the car has a very stiff and solid brake pedal. The car only has 66K miles, though I'm not sure how long wheel bearings last it would seem that kind of miles isn't enough.

Tires are brand new and I inflated them to the 29/36 spec. Car runs perfectly smooth at 80-90 mph without a whimper, so doubtful it's a balancing/allignment issue. I test drove another 911 same year and it had the same lack of drift feel to it.

My bet is that the front left caliper is dragging.

Why the front left? My guess would be one of the rear wheels/brakes/etc was the problem since it doesn't drift right or left when I brake or drive.
