73S: Matching chassis to engine numbers?

This is a very old thread that I stumbled upon. But it has some incorrect info, so I just wanted to correct that. I have owned 9113300854 since 2014 and the correct engine number is 6331315 as verified by the factory and it is still in the car. Likewise, according to the Early S registry annual listing, 9113300861 has motor 6331329, 9113300902 has motor 6331421 and so on. All the engine numbers listed here should start with 633. Brian goofed in transcribing the engine numbers.

These #'s cast a little doubt on 870 matching with 1154 but strange things happened sometimes when these cars were built so you should get a CoA to know for sure.
