Hey...can someone check on a part number for me?
I have a 901 transmission from my 69 project, and I'm trying to find out what it is. I'd also like to know what it's worth at the moment. Thanks!

That is a casting number. You will find the transmission S/N and Type number stamped in the rib under the differential. Is your transmission an aluminum casting or magnesium? Does it have a LSD?

Hey there Grady! How are you?
I'm almost ready to have you over again...I have to hook up that 3.0 motor as soon as my cooler stuff comes in. At any rate, thanks for the info. I have to go find that part # now. I have no idea about the LSD, or whether it's aluminum or magnesium. That's the kind of stuff I need to find out. I was hoping the part # would tell me some of that stuff.

Well...I suppose I could get the wiring done with your help on Friday. It was adapted to the 72, but not to the 69. Maybe we could get a plan together. I'll take you to lunch. When will you be in town?
