Bill, remember this car will be running centerlocks once the wheels are made. Thus the RSR style e-brake. There is no "add on" even at this time, that is it.

Honeslty with the risk of sounding a jackass the pictures do not do it justice. The car is beautiful. And especially when it's on the road...

As you can see there are a couple of little things that need to be addressed (the rear view mirror will be swapped for a black one, the brake ducts need to be installed and the bumper cut, the oil cooler grill mounted etc) but we are se close now....
my friend I am very happy for you! keep the pictures coming. Well done! 911 and Porsche World article anyone????

How does it feel, sound, smell, taste, look, etc, etc???? Inquiring minds want to know We are living vicariously.

Have not driven it yet.... apart from around the block... we have 80% allignment, missing the rear sway etc.

We needed to get the car running in order to pass the DMV inspection (applying for a new title).

Whilst we wait for the title (before shipping it) Keith and Aaron will sort all the little things...

I might drive it around a bit this afternoon...

What about using something like the Brembo handbrake calipers? They use them on Ultimas with the big brake kit so would fit over 930 discs I think. Pic:

back in the day they were chrome... i believe they were black in the 80's...

i'm not saying it looks bad at all, as it does not, it looks 110% amazing, outright PORNSCHE!!!

but JMO colour matched brezels would be an improvement.

John,

You are correct there are a few paths to meet the e-brake need, we wanted to replicate the original RSR part. This is a close copy of that RSR part, and now we can use it for other centerlock or RSR type projects.

Regards,
Bob

Ah I see Bob, great idea. What kind of finish will it have or is that undecided?

I'll volunteer to write an article about the car for any mag that's interested. I am majoring in journalism, after all, and writing about Porsches is a dream job.

Old ones maybe but the new stuff not so much.

I'm sure there'll be no prob getting that car featured in 911 & Porsche World, surprised there hasn't been a scrum to do the piece already. Should end up in every Porsche mag over here in the fullness of time.

Dead right - plus you are post #s 993 and 997 in this thread, so the new-Porsche numerology has you karma'd there also.

If you want to get published for Porsche stuff or whatever, then just start writing and submit it, take a chance. You never know what mags will pick up on in your style and choice of material, especially if you have shops like Keith's to write about on your doorstep
