Dead right - plus you are post #s 993 and 997 in this thread, so the new-Porsche numerology has you karma'd there also.

If you want to get published for Porsche stuff or whatever, then just start writing and submit it, take a chance. You never know what mags will pick up on in your style and choice of material, especially if you have shops like Keith's to write about on your doorstep ;)

John,

thanks for the encouragement! I did write a cover piece on a particular local purple 911 some of you might remember for 9 Magazine, an online Porsche mag. It was a lot of fun, and my first Porsche article!

Also, thanks for pointing out the post #s! I would never have thought to check those! Pretty good luck, eh?

And, so this stays on topic, here's a photo of me with Matteo's beast ;) Kind of fitting that I've got my London Underground shirt on since the car's going to England...

That is superb Keith, mine should eventually look very similar but with ally bumpers and no straps. Great work!

Those tips look great, Thats a great idea to just add the tips to give it that header "look" but still have a functional muffler.

Beautiful Keith! The tips really do make a dramatic difference, IMO. Matteo, hope all is well in the UK!

Saw the Blue Beast yesterday. It is getting VERY close to completion.

The guys have done and incredible job putting this monster together!

eimkeith 08-17-2007 12:49 PM

Thanks, Harvey - yours is next!

Getting some data:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1187383987.jpg

and, the WEIGHT: 2644 pounds.

with a FULL tank and 180pound DRIVER. :)

Elombard 08-17-2007 02:20 PM

Wow the decals really make it. I feel a new wallpaper coming! Hope the weather cooperates to give some good shots!

eimkeith 08-21-2007 02:58 AM

Dry Weight...

So, the dry weight is 2360 lbs.

Not bad considering the only fiberglass parts on this car are the bumpers and wing. (and the street tires are really heavy)

Weight... I will guess around 2,350 with half a tank, fluids and roll bar. That should give us a power to weight ratio close to 6....

Ha! I was off half a tank....

Looking good....

Off to Atlanta soon?

johndglynn 08-21-2007 03:08 AM

Looking seriously hot Keith - if the devil is in the detail then he has moved to Zuffenhaus.

Is the front lid steel? Any reason it is that tiny touch longer than the wings? Not nitpicking just wondering. Mine is ally and is a tiny touch shorter than my wings.

Are you sending a pot of touch-up paint with the car? That first British stone chip is coming and we have some kamikaze flies over here too ;)
