thanks for the encouragement! I did write a cover piece on a particular local purple 911 some of you might remember for 9 Magazine, an online Porsche mag. It was a lot of fun, and my first Porsche article! Also, thanks for pointing out the post #s! I would never have thought to check those! Pretty good luck, eh? And, so this stays on topic, here's a photo of me with Matteo's beast ;) Kind of fitting that I've got my London Underground shirt on since the car's going to England... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1186554319.jpg |
Where's the pics and vids you said you were going to post?!?! Just kidding...kinda'... ;) Sorry I missed ya'. What time did you arrive? I think we left around 1-1:30pm.

Those tips look great, Thats a great idea to just add the tips to give it that header "look" but still have a functional muffler.
|
Beautiful Keith! The tips really do make a dramatic difference, IMO. Matteo, hope all is well in the UK!
|
Saw the Blue Beast yesterday. It is getting VERY close to completion.
The guys have done and incredible job putting this monster together! |
Thanks, Harvey - yours is next!

Final Weight:
Getting some data:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1187383896.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1187383987.jpg and, the WEIGHT: 2644 pounds. with a FULL tank and 180pound DRIVER. :) |
Wow the decals really make it. I feel a new wallpaper coming! Hope the weather cooperates to give some good shots!

Dry Weight...
So, the dry weight is 2360 lbs.
Not bad considering the only fiberglass parts on this car are the bumpers and wing. (and the street tires are really heavy) Some random details: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1187693791.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1187693840.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1187693877.jpg |

Looking good.... Off to Atlanta soon? |
Looking seriously hot Keith - if the devil is in the detail then he has moved to Zuffenhaus.
Is the front lid steel? Any reason it is that tiny touch longer than the wings? Not nitpicking just wondering. Mine is ally and is a tiny touch shorter than my wings. Are you sending a pot of touch-up paint with the car? That first British stone chip is coming and we have some kamikaze flies over here too ;) |
