It is... I think I am leaving at least 7-8mph there.... wich translates into 2.3s-2.7s at the end of the long straight...

But it was my 1st time and I did not have instruction (yeah I should have gotten some, but I was there with friends and ultimate lap time was not the goal).

The thing is that you get into Eau Rouge (the right hander at the bottom) and you need to place the car for Raidillon (the left hander behind the crest) without seeing it.

There is no chance of correction or changing the course. You need to stay committed.... and as you can see I am turning in at around 100mph....

paulgtr 06-10-2010 07:55 AM

I know, I was watching thinking the same thing. I just got back from watkins glen a few weeks ago and the run through the esses reminded me of eau rouge into raidillon. not much room for mistakes or correction. and to think the f1 guys go through there flat at around 160 mph...

Great track vid! Can only imagine the look on the faces of those present when Lady Blue is shaking it through the esses. Yours - I can - :) .

Teo'
Just read this entire thread from beginning to end.
It occurs to me that the pelican BB is better than any Porsche magazine available. I subscribe to 911 & Porsche World & Total 911, plus buy Excellance & GT Porsche off of the newstand though the last two arrive months later on the newstand.

The Pelican BB is interactive You can ask a question and get a multitude of knowedgable replies pretty much instantly, want a better picture or more detail on a specific point chances are someone will post it freely.
I truly believe that Pelican has the best magazine online bar none and its bloody well free.
The pelican BB is the future of Publishing we should embrace it and support the host that provides it.
Finally Teo I really enjoyed the ups and downs of the journey with your truly amazing car and feel the need to acknowledge your consistent humility and ability to turn the other cheek in difficult times. I personally have had difficulty in dealing with the short comings with a major purchase from a reputable Porsche vendor and your example has made it possible for me to get over it and move on.
Thanks for sharing and teaching all of us the real meaning of Porsche ownership and the community that embraces it.
Though I now live in Oz I return to the UK annually and have acces to my old SC which I do track days on, particularily on the Ring, it would be really cool to see you blast past me in a car I feel I know so much about.
Cheers
Bill

Amazing build!
Amazing passion!
And last, to drive it hard on track is the crown to it.

Just WOW!

can't speak for his car but I have one and it is a 993 glass, both 993 seals in a 911...some good threads on this

great thread, I wonder how many up and down stories there are out there that people are ashamed to admit to or just give up

eau rouge:awesome

I remember hearing once that Gilles Villeneuve was the first F1 driver to go through without lifting and just flew away from everyone

LuckyRR 07-16-2014 11:44 AM

Matteo are you still around, what are you up to with the car these days?

djpateman 07-17-2014 07:10 AM

He has not been on the site in over two years. You probably will have to email him.

917 replica wheels

Hello Teo, great car.....but, finaly, never 917 replica wheels !
If you change our decision, who is the "dealer" your choice ? and where ?
All the best

Teo has smashed and rebuilt the car since then (he's a driver, not a collector!) and is running 17" Zuchs last I heard.

The center lock program is still in development, with a 5th revision of wheel centers being prototyped for current projects at Zuf - check out the Mary Stuart build thread in upcoming weeks; we'll be discussing the current status of the wheel center design.

911teo, what happened to the FGT?

evan9eleven 11-05-2016 12:56 PM

73 pages of reading and worth every minute. If you haven't seen this thread before then here is a bump. Hope Teo pops in again one of these days! SmileWavy
