Gold would be my least favorite, but I'd still ride with you anytime!

Check out this thread for some more ideas:
Can someone photshop me a color change??

I'd say why remain conservative?? Go for it! This blue / violet looks pretty cool! The other jelly bean colors are in the above thread.

White is simple and nice, but why not make it WILD? If you are sticking with the widebody RSR theme, may as well make the color period correct, too.

Here's an interesting sample:

you don't want the guy driving his bentley to look in his rear view mirror and think, "ho, hum, another one of those porsches..."

you want him to scream in a shrill voice, "WTF is that on my ass?!!" as he drives into the median on the 5.

color should be bright, bright, BRIGHT!! viper green or orange...

say hello to jae.

Wow. I love those.

Curious: are those all shots of the same car with different paint, or is that a team with nearly identical builds, or a club, or...? More info please! I love those colors, and the builds.

Great links 911teo; thank you.

Wow. So THOSE are the original IROC cars.

I feel like such a noob.

Those colors are so beautiful and the lines on those cars perfect.

Sunoco is fine, Shell is great, Martni is also good, but I love the Jagermeister cars.

Ted, I always liked your car before...so I might revise that theme. Its funny how your car has gotten wilder and now you want a street paint job. Please.....no gold unless you put a flaming bird on the hood. Call it Trans Am instead of IROC :=

followed your car a lot, my view is that you need something basic, you might be on to it with a white base, but with such a unique body and mods that you have my view is that you'll need a paint scheme that ties it all together. I'd second Craig's point.

Careful you'll temper my gold intentions.

The interior will be a no glare satin black, like the window trim.

To me the wild colors are at home on the track.
It's cool when I can see my buddies Kawasaki green RSR anywhere on the track.

Yes the early 911 M&M colors would seem appropriate for a long hood car.
Already a bunch of Red, orange and yellow 911s.
I understand the earth tones but not an olive or brown guy.

A lot of nice blues.
Too dark a blue blends with all the black trim and interior.
A lighter blue would help the black contrast.

Metallic might be tough to match.
How about a vintage silver/blue like Chuck Miller's?

Gulf911 I did have an AM magnet on it at the TT.
Grosskemper asked me what class I was in?
I said "AM, I thought you (Steve) would be the last person to complain about that".
He replied "AM is OK with me".
It is AR1, so is Roland.

With "OTHER" winning the poll, something must be done to help.

What about an "ART" car. There were may bold designs in the 70's for the racing Porsches.

Or maybe cut loose and commision a graphic designer/artist to make you a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Give the person some requirement/guidelines (i.e. G rated for public viewing)

Because we'll all give you our preference, which won't help you.

When the time comes, mine will be BRIGHT yellow, with large diagonal stripes. Orange, Red, Black. The front of the car will be Black, with a wide red stripe, followed by a narrower orange stripe, and the remainder of the car yellow. White graphics will cut across the colors. Kind of like a reverse flame job, without the flames. :-)

Yellow is cool.
