Let's hope and pray that he doesn't get hired by Porsche. He had ruined a classic look and now Mercedes and VW have followed suit in bastardizing their designs to look more Asian.

I think I saw someplace that Bangle wasn't the actual butt designer, just that as the head of the studio he was taking the flack for it.
Hopefully this will pass. How long did tail fins last on american cars?

Yes, Mr. Bungle has been very influential.

But there are good influences, and there are bad influences.

I can't think of anything from a Bangle design that didn't appear somewhere else, earlier. To my eyes, his achievement (and I'm using the term loosely) has been to cherry-pick the bad ideas and cram them all together in one (formerly good-looking) manufacturer's product line.

Put another way: 'the Honda CRX called, and it wants it's ugly ass back.'

Last week, board members were saying that the Z4 Coupe was going to kill the Cayman. Not with that ugly design. That's why no one (well almost no one) purchased the Z3 Coupe.

The ugly factor does count when I purchase a sports car. I don't care how fast that Z4 coupe is, it's ugly, and I would much rather own a slower but great looking Cayman. IMHO.........
