My coils are mounted like Ingo's. Would not want them on the engine due to vibration IMHO.

I pulled a few extra relay sockets from the car, but the terminal numbers didn't match what you have in your diagram (#1,2,3...) The relay itself has a little diagram on it with the terminal designations (30,87a ....) I assume I should not worry about what's on the connector, but follow the designations. Right? Thanks again for all your help! Things are comming along.

How does one mount the coils like Ingo has them mounted? I have the fuel accumulator and fuel filter in the way on my SC? Can this be moved?

Note the rubber isolators between coils and the body and the fuel filter and the body.

Is eliminating the fuel accumulator ok to do for a 964 motor?
My 911's factory rear fuse box and filter setup looks like the one pictured on timmin's website. ![]() I have the 964's fuse box and want to use it, but the coils won't fit with the fuel filter and accumulator in their stock location. The wiring harness isn't long enough to mount the coils with the motor like 993 and I prefer to mount them on the fender wall. Ideas?

thanks!
It helped me keep the wires in the harness connector straight. It is indeed interesting when these threads are resurrected years later. The photos on my computer are nearly as old as the thread. Haven't seen them in moons. Doug
