Porsche Crest Cool 911 Engine Cutaway - PICS

I attended the PCA Zone 1 Tech Tactics in held in Springfield, MA today. Ed Mayo used this engine to demonstrate how to time cams and adjust valves. The cutaway offered some pretty cool views.

WOW Wonderful cut-away!

I hope everyone appreciates the amount of work to do this. If you paid to have this done it would be $50K even with free parts. We need to thank everyone involved in this. A lot of thought and work went into this. Been there, done that.

Who owns the cut-away? I will volunteer to pay the air freight for a RMR/AMR-PCA Tech Session.

Please say Hi to Ed for me. E-mail me his contact info – it’s been a long time.

Best,
Grady

Great teaching and reference motor. Is this a PCA motor available to regions?

yup, that engine belongs to Mike Bavaro of Body Motion here in NJ. It sits in the waiting area of his shop giving us something fun to look at while he's doing work on our cars!

Cool

Wow, great! Now I know where to stick the feeler gauge for the valve adjustment.

Don't forget about Darryl D's animated Porsche MFI engine cutout posted here.

Very, very cool. Gotta give the guy a plug!
