SC to C2 Conversion - Updated pics

Part of a long project to put C2 bumpers and rockers on my SC. This was just after I was able to put the bumper on the car. It has the steel reinforced piece underneath that bolts in where the bumper shocks used to be.

After the rear bumper and rockers are fit on, everything comes off and it's off to the paint shop for a complete re-spray. All seals and glass and possibly fenders/doors/hood/hatch will be removed prior to paint.

Now all I have to do is get the rust fixed, but that's for another post.

Wish me luck!

Spiff, my SC is a 964 conversion too. Let me know if you want me to take any specific pictures.

Good luck, David

Just an update on the bumper progress. It's slow, but coming along. Don't mind the front signal lights zip-tied on. I've got clear corners/markers coming in the mail... And yes, the driver's headlight is a work in progress on fitting my HID's

Whoa. I think I may explore this route to get rid of my accordions.

It doesn't alarm me that the chrome trim is around the windows. It's what I have now.

Is it more costly than RUF look?

Which kit are you using? I might have to do the same.

I am very much interested in the HID conversion. Is it a HID projector inside the headlight housing with clear glasses from a bug?

I got the kit from ebay. Not sure who makes it. I still have to mount the C2 rockers. There was some "fitting" I had to do as it was definitely not just bolt up and go, but I think it'll turn out okay.

Regarding the HID's, yes, the glass and assemblies are from a bug, but I may change it as I'm not totally happy with how it's mounted.

spiff,
Looks great! I'm selling my TechArt front brake cooling/light kit. If you're interested, check the classifieds under user Project935.

I'll also be posting 964 body parts for sale in next couple days (i.e., front/rear bumper, rear lights, etc..)

Regards,
