Alignment question

I am in the process of doing my turbo tie rod conversion. Anyways, i did one side and then went for a spin around the block. Strange thing is it never has driven straight before. It has always veared a bit to the the right, now it drives nice and straight. Does this mean perhaps my alignment was off before. I had it aligned before and it still drove to the right. I took measurement before i did anything and was planning on going back to what it was. It had a toe in of 1/4". Any suggestions?

Thanks,

David

Hey David,
1/4 inch sounds like a lot of toe in. It's possible that the new parts brought the alignment back to "good" settings.
Iposted a similar question earlier tonight under the same title.

Thanks Wayne,

I will have to check my numbers again. I am really not sure what to make of this.

I doubt if you started with 1/4". That would be extreme. 1/8" or 1/16" toe would be more likely. The pull 'right' could have been a slight difference in the right/left tierods lengths - btdt. Was your steering wheel exactly centered?

Oh Haha - I saw your post too. Carefully string setup - Scrugg's method - is the most accurate home measurement imho.
